Race report by Adrian Jefferies
The BRCA touring car series got underway last weekend with round one being hosted by the West London club, in the week leading up to the event all eyes were on the weather forecasts which seemed to give to varying reports, in reality day one was mixed, wet for practice and light showers throughout the afternoon.

In the wet of practice it was Team XRAY pair of Olly Jefferies in modified and Zak Finlay in 13.5 stock that looked most comfortable but it was dry conditions that greeted drivers as they made their way out for round one of qualifying.

Zak Finlay got his title defence off to a great start in round one with TQ, even at this early stage some were already saying this race was going to be about who would be second and third such was Zak’s pace and dominance in this class.

After 5 rounds of Qualifying, Zak took the overall TQ, with the XRAY's of Tony Broad, Tim Langdell and David Usher also making the top 10.

Three straight wins for Zak Finlay saw him take what looked to be an easy round one win, Zak was able to pull out a lead in all three races and maintain a comfortable gap to take round of the series, Tony Broad was consistent but just lacked the pace to challenge Zak and he was rewarded with second.
